After a story Sunday afternoon across portions of the Virginia Piedmont and Valley, the next 7 days are looking warm (not "hot") and on the dry side.
High temperatures Sunday and Monday will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s. A bit warmer on Tuesday with highs in the low to mid-80s before slightly cooler temperatures move in for the end of the week, with highs in the lower 80s.
Southwesterly winds return by next weekend and we will feel more like "summer" with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees across inland locations, with low to mid-80s along the coast and in the mountains.
We will be lacking rainfall this week, with most locations seeing one-tenth of an inch or less. While this is good news for Southwestern Virginia from all the recent rainfall and flooding, locations across the Virginia Piedmont and Tidewater Virginia could use some rain as it's a bit on the dry side.
Warm but dry pattern next 7 days
